We first met Tom a few years ago when he served as a groomsmen at his friend’s Westin Kierland Resort wedding. So we were thrilled when the time came for Tom’s own wedding day and he reached out to us to be his wedding photographer!
Tom and Tracey decided to begin their wedding day with a private first look in the Palm Grove at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. We love the stately date palms that frame the rectangular green lawn here. Tracey strolled up the lawn to a waiting Tom, and with a light tap on Tom’s shoulder, Tom turned around to greet his beautiful bride. They clutched hands and kissed, and Tracey gave a few twirls of her stunning dress for Tom.
The Hyatt has many amazing locations for portraits. Because Tom and Tracey had done a first look, it opened up the possibility of doing bridal party group photos before the ceremony.
Tom and his nine groomsmen took a break to shoot some pool in the Regency Club, then hopped on stage to “perform” as an air band, and finally headed outside to the terraced courtyard.
Tracey and her bridesmaids—wearing gorgeous, strapless periwinkle-blue dresses—shared laughs under a grove of trees for their group photos. Their bouquets were light pastel arrangements of Buttercups, Sweet Escimo Roses, Eucalyptus, and matching accents of Light Blue Delphinium.
It was then time to head over to Gainey Ranch Golf Club for the main event! Tom and Tracey’s ceremony was unusual in that they were allowed on the fairway against the expansive backdrop of the signature waterfalls and palm trees. They exchanged personalized wedding vows in front of their family and friends, down a rose-petal lined aisle. It was truly a special moment to witness.
While the guests headed up to the club for cocktail hour, we explored the area all around the falls during golden hour for Tom and Tracey’s newlywed portraits!
The reception was full of memorable highlights. Tom, a diehard WWE fan, and Tracey, a new convert, surprised their guests with a pro-wrestling-worthy grand entrance, decked out in red and yellow feather boas and championship title belt in the vein of Hulk Hogan! Next was a sweet first dance for the new husband and wife, followed by a beautiful father-daughter dance and mother-son dance.
