Terri and Todd's downtown Chandler wedding at Soho63

This Arizona wedding story begins with two people who share a profound love of art and music. It was thrilling to witness how they expressed their emotions and love for one another, through music and ambiance, on their September wedding day at Soho63.

The wedding day began with Terri and Todd getting ready in the spacious bride and groom’s rooms, respectively. Terri wore a stunning lace and tulle wedding dress that appeared to delicately wrap over her shoulders like growing vines.

Todd rocked his bright fuchsia vest, tie, and pocket square, which complemented the cool tones of his succulent boutonniere.

The ceremony took place in the open-air Tribeca Terrace courtyard, a beautiful outdoor space that captures Arizona’s afternoon light perfectly.

The procession commenced in a very romantic and personalized way; Todd serenaded his bride with a serene and lovely performance on the piano as she walked down the aisle. All were delighted to hear this unique song that he composed just for his bride!

During the ceremony, while Terri and Todd shared personal marriage vows with each other, a glass jar of colorful minerals was passed around, and each guest selected a unique stone. To create a unique twist on their sand ceremony, Terri and Todd first poured brown and blue sand into a glass vessel, and then each guest walked up and added their minerals and positive energy into the same vessel on top of the sand. To conclude, Terri and Todd blended two vessels of wine together into a single glass, and then shared a drink to mark their new beginning!

After the ceremony, we just had to take advantage of the evening backdrop of historic downtown Chandler to create some stunning bride and groom portraits! We started in front of the adobe and wood facade of Soho63, and then headed over to Arizona Avenue to capture the light trails of busy Saturday night traffic!

The reception was equally magical. Terri and Todd wowed their guests with their grand entrance, a lovely choreographed dance in the clouds. Lighting and fog magic was provided by the talented Karma Event Lighting. It was an all-around beautiful evening and celebration. Terri and Todd danced, dined and chatted the night away with their family and friends in the spacious and modern Gramercy Ballroom.

Before I go, I just had to share a few more wedding details I’m obsessed with!

  • Terri and Todd’s invitations were styled in the fashion of a 45 record, complete with sleeve, track listings, and a tape cassette RSVP card.

  • Soho63 has a lock and key frame in the groom’s room, where wedding couples can affix their own personalized love key or lock the day of their wedding.

  • How cool is the leafy green “love” wall in the ceremony space, draped with pink flowers! It’s a nice way of bringing a touch of nature into the courtyard, and also makes a perfect backdrop for taking memorable images!
