Jessica and John’s Phoenix Foothills Golf Club Wedding
Jessica and John were married on a sunny Arizona afternoon against the ruggedly beautiful backdrop of South Mountain at Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix. They were kind enough to give us the inside scoop on how they planned their big day, from the dress, tux, and flower selection to the special once-in-a-lifetime moments that made their wedding day unforgettable and unique. We’ll turn it over to them here!
Jessica: “[My wedding dress was provided by] David’s Bridal located in Chandler, Arizona; it was a new arrival and part of David’s collection. Once I tried it on my mom and I both knew it was the right one! It also had pockets which I thought was very clever! I was able to keep my vows close with me prior to the ceremony. :)”
Jessica: “We provided the guests with lilac, handheld mini fans to keep cool during the ceremony and custom tissues with our name and wedding date on each of them.”
Jessica: “We wanted classy for the groom and his fellow groomsman. John was in an all black Vera Wang tux with ivory accents, and the groomsmen were in all black tuxedos with light purple vests, with multicolor wisteria-striped ties to match the bridesmaids. The tuxes were provided by Men’s Wearhouse.”
Jessica: “All the bridesmaids wore the same exact dresses which were just beautiful and elegant. They were all wisteria colored.”
“Our flowers were beautiful arrangements of all different colors of purple with a touch of ivory! Clara from Razzle Dazzle flowers was absolutely amazing and so talented! She saw my vision and made it happen! I highly recommend her for weddings!”
Jessica: “I loved the father-daughter first look prior to the ceremony! The pictures turned out amazing and it’s just so meaningful to have these moments to look back on for forever!”
Jessica: “John has had many work functions at The Foothills Golf Club and knew a couple of fellow coworkers who had their weddings there before and said how amazing it was. It was also special to John and I because he now has a passion for golf as well as myself, and we love mountain ranges, and this venue provides both. We knew this would be an amazing place to get some really great photos as well!”
Jessica: “[One of our favorite moments was] seeing each other for the first time at the altar and sharing our wedding vows with not only each other but with all our friends and family!”
John: “We were introduced by Jessica’s brother at her parents’ house for a dinner back in 2011. The proposal took place on a beach in Rocky Point at sunset! She reached for her phone to take a picture and that’s when I got down on one knee and asked her for her hand in marriage. :)”
Jessica: “[My advice for couples who are planning their wedding is] BREATHE! It will all work out in the end! There is no such thing as a perfect wedding, so just run with it and whatever happens happens! Enjoy one another and have some fun! That’s what it’s all about!”
